Biosphere Partner
Within the partner initiative, a network is offered that provides companies, associations and organizations with the opportunity for exchange and promotes cooperative collaboration with the Biosphere Administration Office. It also helps to contribute to the UNESCO mission of the Biosphere Region through sustainable management. With this goal in mind, it is possible to be awarded the status of ‘Partner of the Berchtesgadener Land Biosphere Region’ after fulfilling various requirements.
Biosphere Products
Biosphere Products are regionally and sustainably produced products, from extensive, small-scale or organic agriculture, as well as products processed and refined by traditional food craftsmen and the meals prepared from them in the hospitality industry. They can be recognized by the Biosphere Product Label, which identifies a particularly regional and sustainable selection of food products that stands for value creation in the region, appreciation for the region and its nature, and sustainable consumption.
Biosphere Breakfast
The Biosphere Breakfast represents real regionality on your plate. This is achieved through the cooperation of businesses in the hospitality industry, traditional food crafts and agriculture. Local restaurant owners, hoteliers and guesthouse operators thus strengthen sustainable and regional value chains supported by the Biosphere Administration Office. They take responsibility for preserving and further developing this unique region.
Biosphere Dish
The biosphere dish is a culinary offering of special regional quality. Through the collaboration of gastronomy, traditional food artisans and agriculture, it represents genuine origins from the biosphere region. With this culinary offering, local restaurateurs, with the support of the Biosphere Region’s Administrative Office, are strengthening sustainable and regional value chains. They are taking on responsibility for preserving and developing this unique region.
