The Biosphere Administration Office provides various materials for downloading or borrowing for school lessons. Identify moor, plants and animals

Wolfgang Kerschl from Saaldorf has developed great materials for a project week in the Ainringer Moor as well as for the identification of plants and animals. These materials are available free of charge and can be downloaded here as pdf-files (only in German):

Animals in the classroom

The Biosphere Region Administrative Office participated in the international project ELENA (Experiential Learning and Education for Nature Awareness), led by the Bavarian Academy for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management (ANL). In continuation of the model project “Animals live”, teaching materials for working with live animals in schools were developed. For example, there are detailed teaching materials on chickens, bees, wolves and dogs in German. Other materials, e.g. on earthworms, ants and butterflies, are also available in English.

Rental of the "KlimaKiste“

You can borrow the so-called “KlimaKiste” from Aktion Klima! free of charge from the Biosphere Region Administrative Office. Information materials introduce the topic of climate protection. Many tools and suggestions support you and your students in carrying out practical climate protection, e.g. reducing CO2 emissions in the school building. The KlimaKiste was kindly provided by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment and BildungsCent e.V.
