Projects for Volunteers
Since 2017, volunteers have been supporting the preservation of the cultural landscape in Berchtesgadener Land. During volunteer assignments, participants experience first-hand why their commitment to biodiversity in one of Germany’s most beautiful mountain regions is of great importance. If you feel like joining in, you can register right here.
Active as a volunteer to promote biodiversity
Equipped with loppers, saws and tarpaulins, volunteers cut alpine pastures free of emerging spruce or blackberry bushes to prevent pastures from becoming overgrown. In doing this time consuming work, they support the alpine farmers. Areas that are valuable for nature conservation are also restored, for example by erecting dry stone walls, planting flower meadows or hedges, or reducing invasive neophytes.
